We’re happy that you’ve come to have a look at our Blog and maybe learn more about the mysteries of the Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull. You’ve probably heard about the recent film titled ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’ directed by Steven Spielberg. Well, we’re talking about the SAME skull here!

As you may know, the Crystal Skull was discovered in 1924 in the southern part of what is now called Belize, in Central America. The Mayan site called Lubaantun is where a 17 year old girl found the Crystal Skull… on her birthday! She was working with her father, Frederick Albert Mitchell-Hedges, an archaeologist who was working the Lubaatun site.

There is much controversy about the Crystal Skull... about its authenticity, it’s origin and the story behind it…

We believe that the Crystal Skull WAS found at Lubaantun and that it belongs to the people of Belize and specifically, to the Mayans who are the ancestors of the great people responsible for the creation of the Crystal Skull, so many hundreds of years ago…
